Emma In The Night
The second I read the synopsis for 'Emma In The Night' I was hooked. I finished the book in five hours because the second you start the book you will not be able to put it down. The story is about two sisters Cass and Emma who disappeared from their home the same night. Then after three years Cass mysteriously reappears without Emma. Cass retells her horrifying story of where she had been for the past three years. Dr. Abby Winter is the forensic psychologist that has been working the case from the beginning. She has doubts about Cass's story and wants to uncover what exactly Cass is hiding.
The story explores toxic family relationships and narcissistic personality disorder, which I haven't read much about so it was interesting to learn more about it. The story is addicting. When I was a quarter way through I desperately had to fight the urge to skip to the end to find out what happened to Cass and Emma. Even though the mystery of the missing sisters is the main component of the story, the relationships and history give it more depth.
